Practice Strengths:   We do a lot of equine reproduction. We do approximately 1600 ultrasounds each spring, AI over 200 mares, 70 herd healths, routine small animal vaccinations and surgeries, and treatment of small animals. The owner also owns a standardbred breeding/boarding farm which stands 8-10 stallions and foals over 85 mares each spring.  
Practice Area:   Millersburg is located in northern Indiana. We are nestled in several Amish communities in Topeka, Shipshewana, and Millersburg. The school systems are very good. The surrounding communities are very welcoming.

Facilities provided:   The LA practice has 2 Easy-Scan portable ultrasound units, 2 laptops with Intravet Veterinary software and 2 portable printers, and 2 fully outfitted trucks with Bowie units. We currently use ultrasound for our reproductive herd health exams in roughly 90% of our dairy herds. The SA clinic has in-house IDEXX CBC and serum chemistry machines, Surgivet anesthetic monitor, 3 gas anesthetic machines with both Iso and Sevo vaporizers, an Aloca 500 ultrasound machine, endoscope, IV pumps, and online access to VIN. 
Other personnel:   At full staffing, we have 4 MX veterinarians who work a 4-day week with one week-day off each week. Two veterinarians are on the road doing LA each day. Associates share a 3-way LA emergency rotation. SA utilizes local emergency clinics after hours; no SA emergency work is required. We usually staff 8 non-veterinarian staff members, which includes 4 licensed techs.   
Practice Strengths:  Our emphasis is on client service. We strive to practice top quality medicine and surgery. We have easy access to both SA and LA specialty referral services when the need arises. Our dairy practice serves mostly regularly scheduled herd health clients varying in size from 60 to 1800 cows. We currently offer bilingual farm employee training. Our equine practice serves primarily backyard and light pleasure horse clients. We are currently seeing, and would like to expand, a growing base of alpaca and small ruminant clients. Our SA practice is currently focused on dogs and cats.
